Marist poll: McCain, Obama tied

After continual leads in Ohio polls John McCain is tied with Barack Obama in yet another poll out today.

The Marist Poll has the race at a dead-even 44 to 44 percent among registered voters. Ten percent are undecided, but when "leaners" are included the race opens up to a 2-point lead for Obama and Joe Biden.

Independents are split 42 percent for each ticket, respectively. Each side is pulling about 90 percent support from their parties.

Obama, McCain and Sarah Palin have favorability ratings above 50 percent while Biden has 45 percent favorability.

McCain trails Obama on who has the better "plan" to bring about change, but leads him about who has a "better record for bringing about change."

The poll has a margin of error of +/- 3.5 percent.
