Stivers leads Kilroy by 390 votes

Steve Stivers lead over Mary Jo Kilroy rose Thursday after more election returns from Union County were processed.

Stivers (R-Columbus) is ahead of Kilroy (D-Columbus) by 390 votes, Stivers campaign said. That's a net gain of 224 votes from Stivers' total Wednesday, which came after the Franklin County Board of Elections counted more than 15,000 ballots Wednesday.

Stivers' new lead comes from Union County's Taylor Township, which reported its votes today and gave Stivers 224 of them and Kilroy an additional 146.

In addition, libertarian Mark Noble won 23 votes and Don Eckhart won 20 votes.

Unfortunately for Stivers,

Unfortunately for Stivers, the thousands of provisional/absentee/etc. ballots still to be counted were almost entirely cast in Franklin County. There's no way a Democrat was given fewer votes in Franklin than a Republican.

Mary Jo Kilroy will be headed to Washington when this thing is over.

I'm Not Sure

I’m not so sure. The majority of votes that are still out are Election Day provisionals, not absentees.

Stivers won Franklin County on Election Day. It was the early vote lead that gave her an overall Franklin County lead.

But I guess we will see.

Kilroy Won Franklin County

Not so sure where you are getting your numbers but Kilroy took Franklin County by about 12,000 votes. This one is going to be close.
